Co-Creation & Engagement at the University of Hamburg promotes a broad sustainability concept encompassing ecological, economic, social, and ethical dimensions through all its activities. We build transdisciplinary networks and strengthen co-creative research and education for sustainable development, to foster societal transformation through partnership-driven innovation that respects and leverages the variety of disciplinary cultures as well as questions of justice and diversity.

Hamburg Masterplan BNE

The Team Co-Creation & Engagement is actively involved in implementing the Hamburg Masterplan - Education for Sustainable Development (BNE) 2030.

Sustainability Award 2022

The project "Gemeinsam nachhaltig gestalten", submitted by the Team Co-Creation & Engagement, was honoured in November 2022 with the Award "Education for Sustainable Development in Higher Education".

Open Living Lab Days

In 2025, the Team Co-Creation & Engagement is co-coordinating the first nationwide "Open Living Lab Days" together with colleagues from RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, IÖR Dresden, KIT Karlsruhe, and TU Munich.

City Nature Challenge
