Making Living Labs visible and accessible, showcasing achievements, and advancing sustainability—these are the goals of the first nationwide Open Living Lab Days in 2025, initiated by the Netzwerk Reallabore der Nachhaltigkeit (NRN) and the Gesellschaft für transdisziplinäre und partizipative Forschung. The Team Co-Creation & Engagement at the University of Hamburg is coordinating these efforts in collaboration with colleagues from KIT Karlsruhe, IÖR Dresden, RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, and TU Munich. The event took place for the first time from June 30 to July 6, 2025.
The Open Living Lab Days allow interested individuals to gain exciting insights into local Living Lab activities all over Germany during the span of one week. It also aims to increase the visibility of Living Labs and foster exchanges and mutual inspiration between them. Any Living Lab contributing to sustainable development is welcome to participate. The Action Week is supported by poster and flyer templates, press outreach, and a centralized website listing all participating Living Labs and their programs. Additionally, there are online events scheduled at the start and end of the week.
Interested members of the University of Hamburg are encouraged to contact the Team Co-Creation & Engagement at any time with questions or ideas for activities and offerings.
