The Science City Bahrenfeld is a major urban development project that expands and densifies the existing residential neighbourhood while further extending the current Science campus with large scale, high tech facilities. The Team Co-Creation & Engagement supports the effort to shape the campus as an open, transdisciplinary space and to strengthen the exchange between science and community. Please feel free to contact us if you have ideas or wish to be actively involved—whether as researchers, students, or residents!

„&Bahrenfeld“

We are partnering with the Altona District Office in a project funded by the Stifterverband. Together we set out to explore and enhance connections between the district and the campus, local knowledge and scientific expertise.

Urban Planning and Campus Development

The University of Hamburg aims to design the Science City Campus as an open, transdisciplinary space. We maintain regular dialogue with planning committees, neighbourhood initiatives, and the multiple scientific institutions based in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.

Neighborhood Events & Public Space

The Team Co-Creation & Engagement enhances the university’s visibility as an engaged partner within the local community beyond the campus, by regularly participating in neighbourhood festivals or offering activities in public space.
