Sustainability Award 2022

The project "Gemeinsam nachhaltig gestalten", submitted by the Team Co-Creation & Engagement, was honoured in November 2022 with the Award "Education for Sustainable Development in Higher Education".

The award, established in 2022 recognizes projects that promote the integration of sustainability into teaching and research-based education. It honours collaborative projects among Hamburg higher education institutes that adhere to state-of-the-art principles of Education for Sustainable Development and transdisciplinary didactics, and that initiate transformative processes within the Hamburg metropolitan area.

An expert jury comprising of national sustainability scholars and specialized public servants selected the winners. Through the funding provided by this award, the Team Co-Creation & Engagement was able to develop and pilot transdisciplinary formats such as the Dialogue Forum and the Pop-Up Campus - Education for Sustainable Development, and to actively participate in the Hamburg University Alliance for Sustainability (HaHoNa).
