Forum Citizen Science will take place in Hamburg on 9 and 10 October 2024.
The conference is organised by Wissenschaft im Dialog and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, with support from the University of Hamburg.
The Citizen Science Forum offers the German-speaking Citizen-Science-Community a platform for discussion, exchange of experiences and networking.
Held under the theme Mit:Wirkung (With:Impact), this year's seventh edition aims to show that citizen science stands for impact through participation. Participation is the principle of citizen science and describes the multifaceted involvement of the public in the generation of knowledge. At the same time, ‘with impact’ underlines the core concern of citizen science – namely, to conduct research that has a transformative effect on those involved, society, science and politics. The programme was largely shaped by the community through a call for proposals. In addition to technical input and exchange, the Citizen Science Forum offers a wide range of networking opportunities.
Registration for the conference is now open. We look forward to your participation.
