Following up on the Citizen Science Forum (FCS), where a meeting was held to explore the interests, potential and possible organisational structures of a regional working group for northern Germany, the Co-Creation & Engagement Centre is now networking stakeholders from across northern Germany. A meeting of all potential participants is planned for April/May 2025. At the FCS, a small organizational team spontaneously formed for this first exploratory meeting in a larger circle: Dr Claudia Mendes & Ursula Caser (CEC/UHH), Prof. Dr Nadja Kerschhofer-Puhalo (GW-SLM I/UHH), Anke Amsink (Kulturpunkt im Basch - Kulturhaus Dehnhaide e.V.) and Dr Thomas Abel (Leibniz Science Communication Lab / Leibniz University Hannover). Work was to begin before Christmas.
... and so, on 10 December 2024, we were guests of Anke Amsink in Barmbek. Kulturpunkt im Basch is an extremely interesting institution, whose premises we will probably be able to use for the first meeting with the larger group. We would like to thank Anke Amsink very much for the friendly welcome and the generous offer to use the space.
Anyone interested in collaborating (or participating in the exploratory meetings) to establish a North German Citizen Science network is welcome to join us at any time. Please let us know by emailing ko-kreativ"AT"uni-hamburg.de
