Apply by 30 April: The University of Hamburg is calling for project proposals to be submitted for funding from the Transfer Fund 2025. Given the complexity of the tasks ahead of us in terms of triple transformation, we are inviting proposals for the current round of the Transfer Fund that, through cooperation and partnership-based innovation, take joint responsibility for sustainable development with, through or even by digital technologies, depending on the subject area, together with various relevant stakeholders. These include, for example

• Approaches to participatory technology design (e.g. user-led design, real-world laboratories, test beds)
• critical or experimental engagement with the tension between sustainable development and digitalisation (e.g. through critical making, participatory data design, hackathons, citizen sensing),
• or the promotion of social participation in twin transformation and sustainability/data literacy (e.g. through promptathons, transdisciplinary data sprints).

Application period: 1 to 30 April 2025

Funding amount: up to €30,000 per project

Funding period: 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026
