Hamburglobal Funding Program
Hamburglobal: financial support for students who would like to go abroad during their studies
The Hamburglobal funding program supports Universität Hamburg students who would like to go abroad during their studies by providing monthly subsidies of €350 to €550 to cover living expenses (country-dependent, max. 6 months; monthly subsidy rates 2020 and 2021). Funding is available for study abroad, internships, language courses, technical/specialist courses, and for students who want to prepare their final thesis abroad.
+++Travel Warning: Suspension of Funding for Affected Countries+++
We are not currently paying out Hamburglobal travel funds for countries with a travel warning issued by the Federal Foreign Office or rather that are declared an international risk area by the Robert Koch-Institut. We will resume payments only when the travel warning for the respective destination country has been rescinded. With specific requirements, travel funds for countries with a travel warning which are not listed by the RKI may be paid out. Please contact us.
Funding of online programs
Stays abroad that must be conducted partially or completely online instead of in person due to the coronavirus pandemic may be funded. More information here.
