What is PIASTA?
What is PIASTA?
PIASTA (Intercultural Living and Learning) is a program run by the Department of International Affairs. Each semester, PIASTA tutors welcome all students to the University through the Welcome Week and, with about 100 events, help to create a platform for intercultural exchange and transcultural life at Universität Hamburg.
PIASTA offers all Universität Hamburg students rooms and opportunities to
- get to know students from all over the world
- actively participate in the internationalization of degree programs and the campus
- view the world from different perspectives
- further develop your general study skills and intercultural sensitization.
We welcome all students regardless of nationality, (trans)cultural identity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, social background, religion, and ideology.
We warmly invite you to participate in our program events and wish you plenty of success and happiness at Universität Hamburg – with PIASTA!
PIASTA helps international students succeed in their studies at Universität Hamburg and contributes to the internationalization of studying for all students at Universität Hamburg.
