Germany Scholarship at Universität Hamburg
Hand in hand for excellence—working together to support talented young students
Companies, associations, charitable foundations, and private individuals now have the opportunity to support high-achieving and committed students at Universität Hamburg with scholarships. The Germany Scholarship is worth €300 per month and is funded in equal part by the German federal government and private sponsors, with the goal of working together to support clever minds and talented young students.
Also in 2021, you can promote high-performing students with a refugee background who have completed our UHHhilft study preparation program or have successfully prepared themselves elsewhere for their studies at the University of Hamburg.
We are able to accept funding commitments from companies, foundations, associations or private individuals, etc. for the German Scholarships 2021 until 20 December 2020. Please contact the Office for Germany Scholarships.
Covid-19 Update
Currently we are working from home. For any questions or enquires we are reachable via telephone or Email.

Think future, act in solidarity!
The Germany Scholarship provides 300 euros per month for each scholarship holder, so about 10 euros a day. You cannot live from this amount alone. However, to have 10 euros a day or not can be a crucial help --- especially in the summer semester 2020, after many student jobs were lost, due to the corona pandemic. In these times, the Germany Scholarship therefore is all the more important, in order to continue studying.
Despite the corona pandemic, the studies continue. Online lectures determine the everyday life of students, which they work through at home. You need to prepare for the exams as usually, which take place as scheduled. What remains of free time is shaped by the pandemic. In the following, Germany scholarship holders show short, entertaining videos of our fundraising campaign “Think future, act in solidarity!" The videos emphasize how 10 euros contribute to securing the everyday life of the students, during the corona pandemic.
They also give an insight into the first purely digital semester that the students cope with at the Universität of Hamburg. Perhaps you will let yourself be encouraged to become a sponsor of the Germany Scholarship?
