University entry qualification following successful advanced studies exam
The latest amendment to the Hamburg Higher Education Act (HmbHG) permits working men and women who pass an appropriate advanced studies exam related to their vocational training to submit this exam as a general higher education entry qualification (HZB) and apply to first-degree academic programs. Application to Universität Hamburg by aptitude test (§38 HmbHG)
In accordance with § 38 of the Hamburg Higher Education Act (Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG), working people without Abitur (German secondary school leaving certificate) may apply for admission to Universität Hamburg by taking an aptitude test. More information about this is provided here.
