Tiny House
Since April 2023 a Tiny House has been located right on the Von-Melle-Park campus, serving as an open meeting and event space focused on sustainability. In addition to our offices on Mittelweg, we want to be deliberately open and approachable here to share information about our work and to gather and discuss ideas, suggestions, feedback, and support from UHH students and staff.
The Tiny House is used by the Sustainability Office team, the Green Office team, and student working groups. In addition, it is open to all other members of the UHH, affiliated organizations, the AStA, members of Freiräume at the University, and neighbors from the surrounding area who wish to get involved in sustainability issues.
The Tiny House thus serves as a platform that fosters exchange among key groups at the University and promotes a sense of community. It is accessible to all, uses solar power from the roof, and is perceived as a safe space; for example, it serves as a base for awareness teams during events.
Suggestions and feedback are always welcome, whether during regular office hours or at any other time—just stop by. You’re also welcome to host your own events. If you’re interested, please contact sustainability"AT"uni-hamburg.de .
