Get involved
Would you like to volunteer on a flexible basis?
We welcome anyone who wants to join us in making the university a livable and sustainable place. To get as much done as possible, we need plenty of creative minds and helping hands. Feel free to check out our page on the open study groups. You can always get actively involved there!
The Biodiversity Working Group, for example, advocates for a greener and more biologically diverse campus. In the Wurzelwerk Working Group, you can help design the university garden and learn hands-on how to create a natural garden. The Sustainable Food Working Group is committed to increasing the number of plant-based dishes in the cafeterias. The UHH Shares Working Group is building a university-wide sharing community.
Are you interested in any of these topics, or do you have your own idea for which you’d like to start an open study group at the University of Hamburg? Then feel free to browse through the selection of study groups. Your suggestions and ideas are not only welcome but also serve as a key guide for our work.
If you’re interested in sustainability projects at the UKE, please contact us via email(green-office"AT"uni-hamburg.de) so we can connect you with the right people!
