We are a team of students from a wide variety of academic disciplines.
Thanks to our different backgrounds and diverse interests, we complement each other well and are constantly coming up with new ideas.
We’re looking forward to what’s ahead and hope that, together, we can make as much progress as possible in the right direction!
Self-Introduction
Freya – Political Science
“Hey, I’m Freya (she/her) and I’m pursuing a master’s degree in political science. I’ve been involved in sustainability efforts at the University of Hamburg for several years now, and I’m excited to be part of the Green Office! The Sustainable Food AG and Wurzelwerk are especially close to my heart. Otherwise, I like to hang out with friends in cafés and bars in St. Pauli or enjoy the sun (yes, we get it in Hamburg too) by the Elbe :)”
Lea – Ethnology and Philosophy
“Hello, I’m Lea (all pronouns) and I’m studying ethnology with a minor in philosophy. I’m very interested in politics, social justice, and animal welfare, which is why sustainability is also a topic close to my heart. In my free time, I absolutely love going bouldering or to the movies with friends, and I enjoy cooking elaborate vegan meals (in my way-too-small kitchen). Otherwise, I also spend a lot of time hanging out in the university’s common areas. I’m really looking forward to working at the Green Office!!”
Miguel – Biology
“Hey there, my name is Miguel (he/him) and I’m somewhere in my early to late 20s. I’m pursuing a master’s degree in biology and am excited to now be part of the Green Office. I’m always up for a chat about music and all kinds of topics. I also hope to make the UHH more sustainable—not just with the GO, but together with all of you. To describe myself in the words of a friend: ‘I’m like a headlamp—really weird but practical."
