Center for Academic Advising
The Center for Academic Advising advises secondary school, prospective and enrolled students on academic matters at Universität Hamburg. This includes advising on program content, application procedures, academic guidance and organizing your studies.
Our web pages contain information about these topics. Teaching staff and secondary school students can also find more information on the school and university pages.
If you can't find a specific page or if you still have questions, you may still opt for individual advising.
Group advising for prospective students
Would you like to study? Do you still have questions about what and how? Then take a look at our special advising for prospective students! We introduce our academic programs and provide detailed answers to your questions.
Academic advising: office hours
If you have basic questions, you can have a brief advising session with one of the academic advisors in the Campus Center during our office hours - without an appointment.
Please note that there is particularly high demand shortly before and throughout the application period (1 June to 15 July). Waiting periods are long and advising sessions are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. We therefore recommend that prospective students attend comprehensive group advising instead.
