Once your goals are clear, one specific question will come to the fore: What do I need to do to achieve these? Does a career in academia perhaps appeal? Or would you like to leave your familiar environment? The next steps often need to be planned and take some courage.

Don’t get sidetracked! Plan well and do not assume that your career progression will be linear—careers often also involve lateral moves. Remain realistic and remember that regardless of whether you are planning to change careers or acquire a new skill, the next steps will take time.

Workshops and Impulses

In our workshops, you will work intensively to elaborate your ideas for your professional development and exchange with other University staff. You will receive suggestions and learn methods to help you identify specific priorities and goals, make decisions, and define your next steps. Food for Thought

During our “Food for Thought” events, we consider aspects on planning your next steps and setting goals. These short sessions lasting up to 90 minutes offer an opportunity to gain information on specific topics from experts as well as to ask questions.
