Placement

To register for the classes of the Language Center, you have to provide proof that you have the language level required for the class. This is usually done through a placement test. Sending in an existing official language certificate is also possible.

 

Class Registration

Registration is possible via STiNE during the registration phases. Please note that the second registration phase can differ from the university-wide registration phase. The registration phases might also be different for DaF and the Modern Languages.

Only students and staff members of Universität Hamburg are allowed to take our placement test or attend classes offered by the Language Center. The classes are free of charge. Please understand that we are not allowed to accept external candidates.

If you are a student or staff member but do not have a STiNE account (yet), there are other ways for you to register via separate registration forms.
