Certificate "Global Competence for Academic Administration" (GloCAA)
The Global Competence for Academic Administration (GloCAA) certificate is available to all members of the technical, administrative, and library staff at the University of Hamburg who wish to build on their international skills. Applications to participate are accepted once a year. The next call for applications is expected to be published at the end of 2026.
All employees are also welcome to take part in our workshops and training sessions, regardless of whether they are participating in the certificate program.
Content
A brief look at GloCAA
- Target group: all members of the technical, administrative, and library staff at the University of Hamburg
- Duration: two to four semesters
| Kickoff | Kickoff workshop, 3 hours |
| Pillar 1 | Language courses, minimum 12 hours (equivalent of 16 teaching hours of 45 minutes) |
| Pillar 2 | Workshops and professional development on international topics, minimum of 16 hours |
| Pillar 3 | International exchange formats, minimum of 12 hours |

Attending the practical workshop and creating a final report, approx. 5 hours Final event, approx. 2 hours |
