The EUGLOH Annual Summit showcases how innovative teaching and interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research come together in this hub of innovation to create societal impact. EUGLOH reflects this by bringing together international perspectives from the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences to address global health challenges in a holistic way. Together, these connections can pave the way to innovative solutions for the future of global health.

The University of Hamburg

The University of Hamburg is the largest and most diverse center of research in northern Germany and was recognized as a University of Excellence in 2019. It operates across multiple campuses and in transdisciplinary locations like the Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld, showcasing its strong network in the Hamburg region and beyond.

Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld

Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld will eventually span 125 hectares in Hamburg’s western suburbs, right next to Altona Volkspark—the city’s largest public park. The University of Hamburg is already present on the research campus, with numerous initiatives and new buildings, some of which have garnered awards.

Hamburg is Germany’s second-largest city and is known for its historic harbor, international atmosphere, and vibrant cultural scene. With its waterways, green spaces, and mix of modern and historic architecture, the city offers a dynamic environment for both study and everyday life.
