We are excited to share an opportunity for students, researchers, early-career professionals, and anyone curious about entrepreneurship: the Impossible Founders Sprint, taking place December 12–14 at the University of Hamburg. The Sprint is a 48-hour, hands-on entrepreneurship experience designed for anyone who has ever wanted to build a startup but never had the opportunity, courage, or support to take the first step. Participants can join with or without an idea and will work alongside a diverse group of builders, creatives, technologists, and first-time founders to turn ideas into something real – in a safe, low-risk, high-energy environment.
Over the weekend, participants will:
- Form teams around the most promising ideas
- Build simple, testable prototypes (MVPs)
- Join workshops on validation, pitching, product, and more
- Receive 1:1 mentorship throughout the Sprint
- Pitch to a jury on Sunday for prizes and support opportunities
When: December 12–14, 2025
Where: Universität Hamburg, Campus Von-Melle-Park (WiWi-Bunker)
Info & tickets: Impossible Founders Website
Tickets for the entire weekend, including food and drinks, are normally 49 Euro – but as a University of Hamburg student, you can get a 20 Euro discount by using the code sprint25-uhh20.
We are excited to welcome participants and help them experience what entrepreneurship really feels like — fast, collaborative, and hands-on.
About Impossible Founders
"Impossible Founders" is a platform and community for individuals interested in entrepreneurship who have no prior experience. Its goal is to make the path to starting a venture more accessible, supportive, and collaborative — through formats that help ease the first step into entrepreneurship.
In 2025, Impossible Founders officially launched as a non-profit limited liability company (gGmbH), initially under the sponsorship of the Michael Otto Foundation and the Joachim Herz Foundation. Academic partners include Universität Hamburg, Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), and the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY). On the corporate side, the initiative is currently supported by Hamburger Sparkasse, semiconductor manufacturer Nexperia, and the Otto Group. The organization serves as a central connector between science and industry — enabling academic spin-offs to emerge more systematically, efficiently, and in a structured manner.
