Advice on research collaboration funded by the DFG
From your initial idea to the funding, we guide you on the path to a grant for collaborative research from the DFG.
If you plan to apply to the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) for a collaborative research centre (CRC), an (international) research training group (RTG), or a research unit (RU), we can help.
Research collaboration is an opportunity to address major scientific issues collectively and to increase the visibility of your research significantly. However, the path from the initial idea to funding can be long and arduous. This is where we come in. The CORA Team helps you develop your project idea and prepare for the grant application procedure.

ADVISE

We provide targeted advice on how to make your grant application compelling not only scientifically but also in other respects - for example, with regard to equal opportunity, fostering early-stage careers, internationalization, and strategic embedding in the University itself.
Together, we develop a coherent project proposal in which your ideas are clearly expressed and are compelling to the DFG and reviewers.
CONNECT

A successful collaborative research grant application depends on sound cooperation and a strong network. We help you involve key players at an early stage—namely, the Executive University Board; partners such as HCDS, HRA, and PIER PLUS; the administration; the DFG; and the Ministry of Science, Research and Equality.
We also organize internal feedback sessions with experienced spokespersons of collaborative research projects to ensure your project proceeds on the basis of clear agreements.
FACILITATE

To ensure your grant application is scientifically convincing and coherent, we support the spokespersons of the collaborative research teams with targeted, well-structured activities. Workshops—for example, on creating a common vision or preparing for on-site visits—provide opportunities for purposeful exchange and help you clarify the logic of and convincingly present your application.
You establish the main ideas, while we guide you and coordinate the process.
