Since last year, the historic GenderWissen Center has been renamed the Center for Gender and Diversity (ZGD). But it’s not just the name that’s new, there have also been some other changes. Who actually does the work at the center? What plans and ideas are there for the further development of the ZGD? Why does the institution see itself as a driving force for gender, queer, and diversity issues at Hamburg’s universities? And what does all that have to do with pop music?
