Diversity Days at the University of Hamburg
The Diversity Days take place once a year at University of Hamburg with the aim to make diversity at the University visible and to address the opportunities and challenges at a diverse university across all member groups.
The University of Hamburg Diversity Days are inspired by the German Diversity Day, which the Charta der Vielfalt calls for once a year as a nationwide day of action on which companies and institutions focus on the idea of diversity.
The next Diversity Days will take place in June 2026!
Registration of events will be possible from the end of January 2026. The programme will then be published in spring 2026. If you have any questions, please contact diversity@uni-hamburg.de.
The Diversity Days are organised by all members of the University of Hamburg across member groups, resulting in a diverse programme of events ranging from lectures and workshops to discussion panels, film evenings and campus tours, all of which address different dimensions of diversity at the university:
- Gender equality
- Gender identities and sexual orientation
- Family and care work
- Disability and illness
- Cultural and ethnic backround
- Social background
- Religion and worldview
- Age
- Appearance
- ... and more!
