Hello First-Semester Students

Welcome to the Winter Semester 2026/27 at the University of Hamburg!

We invite you all to the Audimax on the Von-Melle-Park campus on 9 October from 12 noon to 4 pm. There, as part of the Hello Erstis event, we will be providing a lot of information for first-year students—about your new University, and courses and services related to your studies. There will be many stands providing information and advice on a broad range of topics (see below for participants). You can also get the highly-prized new student’s tote back, that you can load up with a range of goodies, giveaways, vouchers, and much more.

• Applying for and obtaining a library card for the library system of the University of Hamburg
• Jobwall featuring student „Jobs to go“  from stellenwerk
• Taking part in the survey on starting university (in German only) by the Evaluation Team
• Setting up the online ID function with the city of Hamburg's digital guides

• Music provided by volunteer DJs (students and staff) throughout the event
• Sports challenges, flash mobs from the dance classes and active breaks (01:00 pm, 02:00 pm & 03:00 pm) organised by Hochschulsport Hamburg
