Hello First-Semester Students
Welcome to the Winter Semester 2025/26 at the University of Hamburg!
We invite you all to the Audimax on the Von-Melle-Park campus on 10 October from 12 noon to 4 pm. There, as part of the Hello Erstis event, we will be providing a lot of information for first-year students—about your new University, and courses and services related to your studies. There will be many stands providing information and advice on a broad range of topics (see below for participants). You can also get the highly-prized new student’s tote back, that you can load up with a range of goodies, giveaways, vouchers, and much more.
Moreover, we are planning an information space with jobs to go, meaning, you can find out about the range of currently available jobs for students advertised on the central job portal Stellenwerk. A particular highlight will be our raffle, including great prizes such as backpacks and wallets from private companies. You can spin the STWHH wheel of fortune to win vouchers for the cafeterias and cafés as well as energy bars.
From 4 pm to around 7 pm the event will be brought to a close with a DJ—come and relax with your new fellow students after a busy first week of studies!

At the Hello First-Semester Students event, the traditional welcome gift to first-semester students will be given out, which in the interests of sustainability, students can fill themselves. That means, students only select the things that they actually need. There are a range of informational flyers and a range of give-aways for you to choose from. Tote bags and give-aways are available while stocks last.
Networking is important!
