The Wolf Prizes are awarded annually in the Sciences. Prize fields comprise:
Agriculture, Chemistry, Mathematics, Medicine, Physics and the Arts .
The prize in each field consists of a certificate and a monetary award of USD 100,000.
Proposals of candidates for the prizes are accepted for consideration only if submitted by the following: the president of a national academy of sciences and humanities; the rector of a university or other institution of higher learning; the director of a research institute; the dean of a faculty, or head of department in one of the prize fields; the director of a scientific or artistic organization or association; the head of a music conservatory; the head of an art museum – in the field of painting or sculpture; the recipient of a Wolf Prize – only in his or her field; and other scientists or artists, invited by the Foundation to submit candidates.
