This 4-week program gives students the opportunity to meet with leading scholars from around the world. The Global Modernisms Summer School is part of our DAAD Subproject-9 “Modernisms and Modernities East, West and South: Comparing Literary and Cultural Experiences”, and will cover three main themes: ‘Reading Global Modernisms and Modernities’, ‘Word and Image in the U.S. and Europe, 1900-1950’, and ‘Anglo-Chinese Counter-Influences, 1900-2000’.

In this 4-week program students will have the chance to learn and discuss ongoing research questions with leading scientists. This summer school is related to three different key research areas of Universität Hamburg. The program addresses the topic of 'Bological Transitions - Molecules, Organisms and Ecosystems' in three selected fields of current research of the Department of Biology.

At Universität Hamburg's renowned, interdisciplinary Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE), you will study at the nexus of medicine, business, economics, and social sciences, pursuing solutions to current and future challenges in health service provision.

In this 4-week program students will examine theoretical concepts to deepen their knowledge in particles, strings and cosmology. In a diverse and international environment, you will discuss advanced research findings and questions with renowned scientists from Universität Hamburg's Physics department and the German Electron Synchrotron (DESY).

This 4-week program touches on issues surrounding climate, the Earth system, and sustainability research. Students will have the opportunity to learn with renowned faculty and researchers in a highly motivating and diverse environment at one of the world’s leading institutions for climate research, the KlimaCampus Hamburg.

The International Law Plus (IL+) program is a joint summer program on aspects of international law between Macquarie University and Universität Hamburg. The program spans one academic year comprised of three main course components: The first component, a two week long study course at Macquarie U will be followed by intensive online course work, before the program concludes in a study period at U Hamburg.

The summer school "Bunte Vielfalt Erziehungswissenschaft - Herausforderung Chancengleichheit" is offered by the Faculty of Education's graduate school. During two days in September 2018 high-ranking scientist give lectures and workshops and provide doctoral students of the Faculty a unique study opportunity and allow for networking beyond the university.
