Aby Warburg Fellowship at the Warburg Institute, London

The Warburg Institute researches the continuing influence of classical antiquity in the history of philosophy and literature, art history, the history of political ideas and the history of the natural sciences. Other research interests include Islam as a vehicle of ancient thought and historical musicology.
This fellowship, funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, promotes scholarly projects requiring study and research at the Warburg Institute at the University of London. It is granted to doctoral students and students working on their Habilitation at Universität Hamburg. Projects with a broad cultural approach are particularly encouraged.
The fellowship is granted for 12 months and an extension for another year is also possible. The fellowship provides Euro 1,374 per month; travel costs as well as tuition fees for the University of London are reimbursed.
