Work and family: It works for us!

Balancing work and family is not new to us: for decades, we have been offering flexible working hours and extensive opportunities to work from home. Our Family Office is a skilled point of reference for any questions you have on balancing work and family. We also offer a range of services, including childcare, toy chests, and parenting rooms. This is why the University of Hamburg was awarded certification as a family-friendly university.

Working together for our common health

The health of our staff members is important to us. In addition to many internal health programs, you can also take part in University Sports activities. The EGYM Wellpass also offers you the opportunity to train with over 7,000 partners across Germany or to get comprehensive psychosocial advice to help you protect your health as well as possible.

Remuneration and security

Anyone working for the University is remunerated in accordance with a long-term, confirmed pay-scale model. This pay scale is broken down into 15 different brackets. Different levels within each bracket can be attained depending on relevant professional experience. You are entitled to an occupational retirement provision after 3 years of employment. We provide secure employment with room to grow for dedicated staff members.
