Agathe Lasch Visiting Scientists Program
Named after the first female professor of Universität Hamburg, the cross-faculty Agathe Lasch Visiting Scientist Program for Women in Academia was designed to help female academics in underrepresented fields become a strong and more visible presence. The Agathe Lasch Visiting Scientist Program provides for the establishment of two visiting professorships.
Visiting professorships are open to female professors or researchers with a Habilitation or equivalent (e.g., junior professors, associate professors) from all subject areas from Germany or abroad.
The Agathe Lasch Visiting Scientist Program for Women in Academia offers a 3 - 6 month stay at Universität Hamburg. Active participation in research and teaching is expected during the stay.
Proposals for suitable applicants can be submitted from all faculties of Universität Hamburg (excluding UKE). In addition, interested parties can apply with the support of the respective subject area of Universität Hamburg. The Equal Opportunity Committee of the Academic Senate decides on the awarding of visiting professorships.
