- with the 2-stage application procedure. The first step is submission of a project outline. If this outline is positively evaluated, the formal application is then submitted via easy-Online, the funding portal of the German federal government.
- We also help you calculate HR costs for your project.
Good to know
- Note that the maximum amount of funding made available for your planned research project is usually determined based on the rough calculation in your outline.
- Inform Section 75: External-Funding Management of your plans to submit the formal application in at least 14 days prior to submission so that the application can be reviewed and the legally binding signature obtained by the deadline.

- In order to use the funds, you will need a project account (WBS element). All project-specific transactions are made from this account and recorded here—as are incoming funds, expenses, and costs.
- The project account is set up by Section 75: External-Funding Management and made available to the project management.
- The hiring procedure can take up to 6 weeks.
