Register for an Event

Please register yourself online for our offers via the UHH JOIN booking app. To do this, you have to register once on the platform and can then view and manage all bookings via your profile.

Students and members of Universität Hamburg can simply use their B-ID (B-Kennung) to register, all other interested parties only need an e-mail address and a password. However, graduates should always state Universität Hamburg when querying the university, as some workshops are limited to the target group of students and graduates of Universität Hamburg.

Please note: After the end of your studies, your B-ID will be deleted from the RRZ after a few months. Please ensure that you unlink your registration data from the B identifier in good time (via settings in your UHH JOIN profile). Learn more about UHH JOIN. Your personal data will only be collected by us to organize the workshops and will be stored until the end of the respective semester.

Please only register if you can guarantee a binding participation in the entire course of the event.

Opportunity for a professional application photo shoot

If you successfully and fully participate in three events of the event program of the Career Center for the summer semester 2023, you have the opportunity to get a place for a professional application photo shoot. This is expected to take place at the end of October 2023. You will probably receive an invitation by email in September 2023, which you can use to register for the photo shoot at Rothenbaumchaussee 19 according to the first-come-first-serve principle.

Who can participate?

Please note the target group for the individual events:

Students and graduates of the Universität Hamburg:
Only students and graduates of Universität Hamburg can register for the workshops on “Starting a career” and “Recognizing and activating skills”. For events in the areas of promotion, business start-ups and qualification funds, other target groups can also participate. In this case, these will be listed in the announcement text.

Open to anyone interested:
The series of events "Talking about Careers" and the Founders' Breakfast are open to all interested parties, regardless of their student or graduate status.

Our offers are free of charge.

Unfortunately, the premises at Rothenbaumchaussee 19 are not barrier-free. Therefore, please use our online or hybrid event offers.

How does participation in online events work?

About 2 days before the event you will receive the access data from us for the Zoom event. The registration period for online events ends at 12:00 p.m. on the previous working day so that the access data can be sent to all participants in good time. If you would like to unsubscribe from an event afterwards, please send an email to: careercenter"AT"uni-hamburg.de. Please always remember to unsubscribe in good time to give others a chance to participate.

When registering in the zoom room, please use either your real name or at least your initials so that we can later validate your participation and send you your confirmation of participation.

Full participation only counts if you actively participated from the beginning to the end of the event. Also out of courtesy to the speakers, we ask you to only register for an event if you can guarantee that you will be there for the entire course of the event.

Is there a booking limit?

Students and graduates can register for a maximum of three workshops in the areas of "career entry" and "recognizing and activating skills" per semester.

The following offers are exempt from this rule:

Company visits and meetings, recruiting events

How can I unsubscribe from an event?

If you are unable to attend an event that requires registration for important reasons, please cancel your registration as soon as possible in one of the following ways:

Cancel online yourself:

With the registration confirmation email, you will receive a link that you can use to cancel your registration yourself online. Please cancel as soon as possible so that other interested parties still have a chance to get a place. Therefore, keep the confirmation email until the date of the event.

Unexcused absence and possible suspension

We work with relatively small groups, which means that unoccupied places (due to a lack of registration or very short notice) are very annoying for us in the Career Center, but also for the workshop leaders and especially for those interested on the waiting list. We understand the vicissitudes of life, but we urge you to always unsubscribe if you are unable to attend the events. Unexcused absence can result in you no longer being able to take part in other events that require registration.

Do I receive a confirmation of participation?

After registering, you will receive a registration confirmation, which is also your participation ticket, at the email address you provided. After successful participation in the workshop, you will also receive a certificate of participation.
