Starting Your Career at the University of Hamburg: Stellenwerk Job Fair on 17 and 18 June 2025

About 70 companies introduced themselves to students and alumni.

Universität Hamburg—University of Excellence helps students prepare for academic and nonacademic careers. This year’s Stellenwerk job fair on Von-Melle-Park Campus, has once again been a special highlight thanks to a colorful program and a range of services.

From 11 am to 5 pm on 17 and 18 June, students from all semesters and alumni met up with potential future employers in front of the Audimax. The event not only offered information about job options after graduation but also about part-time jobs and internships. In a relaxed atmosphere, students could learn more about roughly 70 participating companies and their job vacancies.

The job fair also offered information and advice on preparing the first career steps, applying for a job, and navigating the professional world. This included individual speed coaching options to optimize applications and advice about starting a career off right. The Let’s Talk format provided small-group discussions on career options, academia, artificial intelligence, start-ups, equity, workplace cultures, and numerous other topics. A colorful range of activities with popcorn, coffee, wheel of fortune, and University Sports activities rounded off the event.

The University of Hamburg as an employer

At the career event, Universität Hamburg—University of Excellence also introduced itself as an employer. The Institute for Humanities-Centered Artificial Intelligence (CHAI) at the Faculty of Humanities, the Career & Qualification Center, and the Hamburg Research Academy were among the participating University institutions. The Stellenwerk job fair is a cooperation between Hamburg’s universities, the University of Hamburg, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW), the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU), and the stellenwerk platform—a University spin-off at the Universität Hamburg Marketing GmbH.
