MMKH-Workshop: Virtual learning spaces: Copyright and data protection for teachers and researchers

This event takes place in German.
This online training course will address the following questions in particular:
- What content am I, as an instructor, allowed to reproduce, distribute, and make publicly available?
- What do I need to consider when using university-internal learning spaces?
- What specific data protection regulations must be observed when making audio and video recordings during courses?
- What rules apply to instructors and researchers under the Copyright Act for the Knowledge Society (UrhWissG) since March 1, 2018?
In this online training course, the fundamentals of copyright law, especially the limitations and exceptions under the UrhWissG and the basics of data protection (EU GDPR), will be discussed with the participants using practical examples.
Participants are invited to prepare their own questions/cases in advance and present them during the online training course.
The main topics are:
- Copyright in higher education (main focus)
- Personal rights (short annex)
- Data protection (short annex)
All training courses offered by the MMKH are free of charge for employees of the University of Hamburg.
