Structure & Focus Areas
The acronym ReAction stands for Relationships and Academic Belonging in Higher Education. The project covers four focus areas aimed at supporting the quality of relationships in teaching and learning as well as academic belonging – accompanied by overarching structural activities that support the process and help to establish long-lived structures.

Focus Areas
Academic Mentoring
Provides students with personal and academic support from teaching staff. The aim is to build trust, self-reflection and intellectual confidence, and to strengthen long-term learning relationships.
Develops the the role and the work of student tutors further– within an interdisciplinary, international context and with attention to AI. Peer tutoring is being established as an integral part of the degree programs to promote collaboration and self-efficacy.
Collaborative Course Development
Enables lecturers to work together to develop courses that address societal challenges. The focus is on interdisciplinary co-teaching, international collaboration and the teaching laboratory.
Experimental Curriculum Development
Explores participatory and innovative approaches to program development. Students play an active role in designing new modules that promote interdisciplinarity, international engagement and AI literacy.
Structural Activies
Exploratory Support through AI
Investigates and tests how AI technologies can be used responsibly in teaching, student support and tutoring – from monitoring to specific tools.
Legal and Organizational Anchoring
Creates the necessary structural conditions to ensure that the formats developed in the project can be sustainably integrated into curriculum planning, teaching load regulations and the legal framework.
Process Support
Research and Evaluation Support
Analyses and evaluates project activities to ensure their effectiveness and transferability. Formative and summative evaluations support the redesign and sustainable implementation of the project.
Communication and Transfer
Promotes exchange within the project as well as transfer to other faculties and higher education institutions. The aim is to increase the visibility of the concepts developed and to embed them for the long term.
