MMKH-Workshop: AI Law in Higher Education – Examination Law & Good Academic Practice

This event takes place in German.

This training session examines the current legal framework following the full entry into force of key parts of the EU AI Act.

Key topics:

- The AI ​​Act in practice: Current status of risk classification for higher education institutions; compliance requirements for operators of high-risk systems in education
- Statutory AI literacy: Implementing the legal obligation to train staff and students in accordance with Art. 4 of the AI ​​Act

- Transparency & labeling: Application of the new Code of Practice; use of official EU icons for AI-generated content

- Examination law 2.0: Legally sound handling of suspected academic misconduct without relying on unreliable detectors; focus on clarification interviews and process-oriented assessment formats

- Good Academic Practice (GAP): GAP as a "normative anchor"; current DFG guidelines

- Automation & the law: Limits of automated exam grading (Art. 22 GDPR) and the right to human assessment
