Come and join the in-person information lecture on 4 September 2025 at 11 am! Where? In the Main Building of the University of Hamburg, Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, 20146 Hamburg, Lecture Hall C. No registration required.
At 2 pm, there will also be an online information session via Zoom. You can register for this lecture online.
Both lectures will teach you everything you need to know about the Open Study Program: What is the Open Study Program? What’s on offer? Who can join? How can I register? How much does the program cost?
You can ask questions immediately following the talks.
Prospective students can also get individual advice by telephone from 10 am to 4 pm at +49 40 42838-9705.
The Open Study Program gives inquisitive people of all ages a chance to continue with their learning at the University of Hamburg. Pick any subject and attend lectures and seminars alongside regularly enrolled students! You can choose the scope, content, and duration of your studies—for example, select your favorite subject only or combine lectures from various subjects. There is no examination or performance pressure. The Open Study Program is intended as a personal educational opportunity and does not award degrees.
In addition to faculty events, there is a fringe program organized exclusively for Open Study Program students; this includes courses on history, philosophy, literature and media, art and culture, and geosciences in Winter Semester 2025/26. There will also be introductions to academic work and computer courses that help you organize your studies.
The cross-subject topic is Worldviews in Flux taught in courses that take a literary, media, or cultural perspective. There will be face-to-face and online events.
