The program presents the Elijah oratorio for soloists, choir and orchestra by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. An opulant work depicting the life of the Biblical prophet Elijah. The new academic music director of Universität Hamburg, Prof. Thomas Posth, will conduct. Read on in German...

Die Solopartien gestalten Antonia Bourvé, Sopran; Nicole Pieper, Alt; Johannes Strauß, Tenor; David Pichlmaier, Bass; Rebecca Wiemers, Sopran II; Sarah Kelemen, Alt II; Paul Keibel, Knabe. Der neue Akademische Musikdirektor der Universität Hamburg, Prof. Posth, über seine Programmwahl: „Elias – mitreißende Musik, ein Oratorium wie eine Oper. Ein Werk über Leidenschaft, Glaube, Verzweiflung und Wunder.“
