What we do

PIASTA

PIASTA is an acronym for "Programm International für alle Studierende und Alumni", meaning "international programme for all students and alumni". The acronym reflects our overall aim to be available for both German and international students and alumni.

Our goals are to foster a constantly growing internationalization and intercultural exchange in and at the Universität Hamburg. This is why our motto reads "Discover intercultural ways, learn in an interdisciplinary manner and study with your eyes wide open!"

We are a 32-strong, intercultural team of the Department of International Affairs, Universität Hamburg. We feel our mission is to support successful and active intercultural living and studies at our university. Most of our events, courses and seminars are held "by students, for students".
