Merit scholarships and exam grants for international students:

International students at Universität Hamburg who do not receive BAföG (federal financial aid) or who do not have other financial means can apply for a merit scholarship.

Towards the end of their studies, international students can also apply for exam grants. Both types of funding are provided by the state. International students do not, however, have legal claims to financial aid.
