Certificate Intercultural Competence

Experience - Knowledge - Awareness

The Certificate Intercultural Competence (CIC) is an extracurricular offering at Universität Hamburg. It targets students with a strong record of commitment to intercultural affairs.

Our CIC program consists of intercultural training units, language courses, seminars, and lectures with an international focus; it requires a large amount of cross-cultural involvement. You can qualify for the certificate by passing and /or submitting proof of three of the following four components:

A. Intercultural Training (mandatory!)

B. International Experience

C. International Campus

D. Intercultural Studies

Participation in our CIC program is free of charge! We hope it is understood as a reward for students particularly devoted to promoting intercultural awareness and understanding. Cooperating schools and departments can be found below.
