Did you acquire your secondary school leaving degree abroad? Would you like to apply for a bachelor's or a master's program? Or do a Staatsexamen (German state exam)? This is the place to find important information about the application process.

You can pursue doctoral studies by setting up a tailored program or as part of an established doctoral program. The following pages contain introductory information about planning your doctoral studies.

Students from our partner universities can study for one or two semesters at Universität Hamburg. Just apply through the ERASMUS program, the direct exchange program or the institutional exchange programs.

Would you like to expand your education by studying abroad - even though your university doesn't maintain an exchange program with us? You can still attend Univeristät Hamburg as a so-called "free mover"!
