Information for first-year students

All departments of the University offer orientation activities (OE) the week before the semester begins. These activities give you an opportunity to find out everything you need to know before you start studying. We therefore urge you to take part in your department's orientation week.

Every fall, first-year students - and not only international students - can participate in International Welcome Week. This is a great and fun way to get to know the University, the city and your fellow students.

International Welcome Week always takes place two weeks before the semester officially begins and is open to students in all departments.

The Erste Hilfe brochure facilitates your academic start and contains important information about various academic and organizational matters for first-year students. It also contains information about current events, contact information, address and a host of good tips.
