What do you hope to learn from others in the research unit? How people decide when an idea is worth pursuing—and when to let it go, and how others develop strong research questions from uncertain observations.

What has inspired you most so far in the research unit? The external talks and Discussions at our spring/autumn meetings.

What makes a successful work day? A successful work day is when my hypothesis survives long enough to become tomorrow’s problem.

What is your scientific superpower? Superpower: I see structure where others see chaos. Weakness (because every superpower has one): …sometimes chaos was fine.

Fun fact – what nobody here knows about you: Until the age of 32, I believed that if a llama spits at you, you go blind—because my parents told me that when I was little. (So much for belief updating…)
