Workshop „Universities of the future: Challenges, missions, success factors”

Climate change, pandemics, spreading threats to democracies, disruptive technological developments, social disparities, demographic changes, international tensions and system competitions worldwide: The age of multiple crises poses dramatic challenges to our societies worldwide.

What is the role and responsibility of universities in this context? How should they evolve to tackle the grand challenges we face? How should universities of the future look like to make the difference in the next two decades? These questions were discussed at the "Universities of the Future" workshop held in September 2022 with a select group of leaders from international universities and research institutions in a confidential setting.
