DESCRIPTION:On June 22 and 23, authors from this 46-chapter volume come together to share their contributions to the handbook and to celebrate the directions for the field that they see on the horizon.\n
A new generation of scholars is developing the field of Grounded and Engaged Normative Theory. Please join us in celebrating the launch of the new Oxford Handbook of Grounded and Engaged Normative Theory.\n
Abstract\n
This handbook introduces the reader to grounded and engaged normative theory. The field of grounded normative theory (GNT) brings together scholars who use empirical research and lived experience in combination with conventional political theory methods in order to develop normative arguments. By laying out a range of theoretical starting points and demonstrating various methodological approaches, the handbook enables practitioners of GNT to orient their practice in the field of GNT more generally and those interested in the field to gain purchase on this dynamic field. The contributors enrich theoretical and methodological discussions with chapters full of examples of how the authors and others have done the work. \n
Registration\n
To participate online, please register here. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants shortly before the workshop. All sessions will be held in a hybrid format and in English.\n
