DESCRIPTION:This presentation introduces the development of an innovative online bilingual Modern Greek–Greek Sign Language (GSL) dictionary designed to support deaf and hard-of-hearing primary school students in Greece. In a context where sign language lexicographic resources remain limited, particularly for GSL, this project responds to the urgent need for accessible and pedagogically grounded tools.\n
The dictionary aims to bridge the gap between spoken and signed language by establishing clear semantic connections, offering definitions, translations, and contextualized usage examples. Developed as a digital and visually enriched environment, it integrates multimodal elements and thematic organization aligned with the learning needs of young users.\n
The presentation highlights the theoretical foundations of sign language lexicography and underscores the importance of systematic lexicographic protocols in ensuring consistency, usability, and scientific validity. It further outlines the stages of the lexicographic process, from data collection to implementation, and discusses key design choices regarding macrostructure, microstructure, and user interaction.\n
Ultimately, this project contributes to the advancement of inclusive and pedagogical lexicography, promoting linguistic accessibility and equal educational opportunities for the deaf community in Greece.\n
Hinweis: Diese Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt.\n
