- Welcome and Greetings: Prof. Beate Heinemann (DESY), Dr. Rolf Greve (FHH), Prof. Thilo Böhmann (UHH)- Award Ceremony hosted by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Foundation- Colloquium talk: "Strings, the Swampland and Primordial Black Holes" by Prof. Dieter Lüst (Max Planck Institute for Physics, Garching/Munich)Abstract: This colloquium introduces quantum gravity and its realization in string theory. While string theory predicts a vast landscape of consistent vacua, an even larger set of low-energy theories – the so-called swampland – is incompatible with key principles of quantum gravity.
