DESCRIPTION:This workshop will give you key guidelines and practical tips on how to become better at presenting your research, or anything, really – both to peer audiences, and to non-academic audiences.\n
The workshop takes a very practical approach and will cover these topics:\n
Contents- Why and how to engage your audience- Cater to the brain! How to employ media in an optimized way- Fidgeting, nausea, shaky hands: How to deal with presentation jitters- Using your hands and your stance: How you gain stability and exude competence- Practical tips and exercises on how to continue improving your presentation skills on your own\n
Structure The workshop is split into three 2-h-sessions: the first and last session are in person, the middle one is via Zoom. In between sessions, you will get to work on practical exercises leading to a final presentation. In addition, you will have the option to book a personal 15-min feedback session in the two weeks following the final session.\n
