Appointment negotiations

As the service unit for professorial appointment negotiations, we keep in close contact with the Executive University Board, the faculties, and applicants. We are responsible for drawing up search letters initiating the negotiation procedure (Rufschreiben), compiling information relevant to contract negotiations, and for drafting offers of appointment.

Our services target academics in the appointment process at Universität Hamburg. We aim to provide advice and information in an unbureaucratic and fully accessible manner at all times. If necessary, we will refer you to futher relevant units.

We welcome all newly appointed professors at Universität Hamburg. You are now an important part of a large higher education institution. We would like to help you settle in smoothly so that you can start shaping our University right away.
