Trainer Diversity Skills
Hello, my name is Lara Manukyan. As you can tell from my last name, I have an intercultural family background. My mother is Armenian and my father is from Hamburg. The motivation to spread awareness among students about intercultural and transcultural topics came from studying cultural studies in Lüneburg. During my master program, I focussed on learning about different cultural concepts and specialised in aspects of transcultural communication and diversity management in the workplace. My work experience in an international company in Hamburg also helped me and it opened my eyes to thinking outside of the box, in order to come to a common goal. I’ve visited a lot of different countries and have also worked and lived in Australia, Spain and South America. This helped me to bring together my practical experiences and my theoretical knowledge, which I can incorporate into my workshops, trainings and coaching.
I’m always fascinated by the varying first-hand experiences people have gained. I look forward to teaching you about theoretical knowledge that is necessary to dismantle stereotyping and prejudices as well as to train you on self-perception, perception of others and transcultural communication.
As a part of the PIASTA team, I look forward to meeting students, who want to go abroad as well as students, who have come back with diverse set of experiences, and those who want to learn more about intercultural and transcultural topics.
